Upcoming edition of EdTech Mondays Ethiopia, marking the beginning of season three of the show, will look into the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in upskilling teachers and boosting the adoption of educational technology (EdTech). The radio program will air at 8:10 pm EAT on Monday 24th February 2025 via Fana FM 98.1 and 10 other affiliated FM radio stations across the country.
Bringing together a panel of experts, this month's episode will feature a conversation on how AI can provide personalized training programs, automate administrative tasks, and offer real-time feedback to educators. These advancements have the power to allow teachers to focus more on student engagement, creating inclusive and effective learning experiences. The discussion will also highlight the importance of continuous learning, mentorship, and hands-on practice to build digital literacy and a growth mindset among educators.
The discussion on EdTech Mondays show, produced by the Mastercard Foundation in collaboration with Shega Media & Technology will include how AI-powered tools can personalize professional development for teachers, strategies for overcoming barriers to EdTech adoption, the importance of hands-on training and collaborative learning environments, and the role of continuous technical support in successful EdTech implementation.
The program will be moderated by Rediet Meshesha, a journalist, producer, and host of Cybergna at Ethio FM, bringing her expertise in technology and media to guide the conversation.
EdTech Mondays, an Africa-wide conversation, is a platform designed to foster crucial conversations on the use of technology in teaching and learning. It brings together key stakeholders, including policymakers, EdTech entrepreneurs, teachers, and parents.
