Hosted by the Mastercard Foundation in collaboration with Shega Media & Technology, this edition will spotlight the emerging EdTech ecosystem in Ethiopia and the strides being made to harness its power for the benefit of the country’s learners.
The Ethiopian EdTech ecosystem is on the cusp of transformative growth, propelled by an expanding digital infrastructure and a youth population eager to embrace technology for learning.
Amid the backdrop of challenges like limited access to quality education in remote regions, EdTech startups and initiatives have emerged as potential change-makers. These endeavors harness the power of technology to provide innovative learning solutions, spanning online courses, interactive platforms, digital content, and training programs.
The sector’s growth is further supported by governmental initiatives and collaborations with international organizations, fostering partnerships between educational institutions, tech innovators, and policymakers.
The upcoming episode, which will unveil these developments in detail, is scheduled to air on August 28th, 2023, at 8.10 p.m. EAT on Fana FM 98.1 and affiliated FM radio stations across Ethiopia.
Biruk Mamo, Co-Founder at KurazTech; Michael Tomas, Associate Consultant at Shega; Michael G/Giorgies, Co-Founder at Abol Edtech; and Helinna Ayalew, Head of Innovation Partnerships at Liquid Intelligent Technologies, will feature on the show, sharing their insights.
