Ethiopia’s startup ecosystem is set to be highlighted at the second edition of the AddisRupt Startup Expo, which will take place on December 30 and 31, 2022 at the Interluxury Hotel in Addis Ababa.
The event, which has been dubbed “AddisRupt: Reimagine,” will feature over 80 startups from a variety of sectors, showcasing their products and services to attendees.
The expo will be divided into three main activities: The Expo, where startups will have the opportunity to introduce and promote themselves; TechLand, an experiential showcase featuring interactive demonstrations; and AddisRupt Academy, a series of business workshops focused on various topics.
According to Sophia Mulugeta, Project Manager at Afromile Trading PLC, “AddisRupt: Reimagine will put a highly impactful focus and light on the bustling startup ecosystem in Ethiopia and bring about a significant paradigm shift.”
The event has attracted a range of partners, including Awaqi Ethiopia, Kazana Fund, Yegara.org, GIZ, Gerar: The Creative Hub, Chapa Financial Technologies, iceaddis, the European Union, German Cooperation, and UNITC.
