Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) in partnership with the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) and the Ministry of Labor and Skills, highlighting the inspiring journeys of our SEED Program Cohort 2 startups.  

This special edition also marks the launch of the SEED Community Development Project, centered around the flagship " Startup Thursday "initiative. Designed to strengthen Ethiopia's startup ecosystem, this project fosters collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and sustainable growth by uniting key stakeholders. Together, we're building a vibrant community to empower entrepreneurs and drive progress in Ethiopia's economy.

The Internet Society Ethiopia Chapter is thrilled to host the Pre-IDC event. This unique gathering brings together Ethiopian and African internet development leaders, policymakers, technologists, and civil society advocates to address key challenges and opportunities in internet accessibility, digital inclusion, and policymaking in the region.

The theme Internet for All Ethiopians highlights crucial discussions on enhancing internet access and digital inclusion in Ethiopia. Key topics include the development of internet infrastructure through ROAM-X IUIs, recognizing internet access as a fundamental human right and its impact on local communities, and strategies to connect underserved populations via community networks.

The summit will also address the regulatory framework governing telecom services in Ethiopia particularly concerning cloud service provision, as well as exploring various facets of digital inclusion to ensure equitable access for all citizens.

The Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA) Invites you to a three-day Summit under the theme " Building a Vibrant and Sustainable Capital Market Ecosystem in Ethiopia" 

The inaugural Ethiopian Capital Markets Summit is scheduled to take place from November 13-15, 2024, at the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel in Addis Ababa. Hosted by the Ethiopian Association of Startup Ecosystem (EASE), this event brings together a diverse group of innovators, business leaders, and industry experts to share insights, collaborate, and explore new opportunities.

Founders Live is an exciting global pitch competition is in Addis. The event features five founders delivering 99-second pitches, followed by four minutes of audience Q&A. The winner will be determined by audience votes, making it a participatory experience. 

Attendees are encouraged to bring friends and colleagues, enjoy food and drinks, and connect with entrepreneurs while voting for what could be Ethiopia's next major innovation. Competing startups include Didomi Gives, Shewaber Rewards, Nexify, StriveIn, and Fetan Pay—each presenting their unique vision and solutions in hopes of winning audience support.

The winner of Founders Live will receive a comprehensive package that includes a Professional Boost membership, offering over $900,000 in savings on more than 90 essential applications and services for startups.
