A state-of- the-art space is ready to open for service in Addis Ababa. The Creative Hub Ethiopia is initiated by UNIDO and Federal Small and Medium Manufacturing Industries Promotion Authority (FeSMMIPA), with the funding from the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.

The space is an envisioned platform that offers services and spaces to designers, entrepreneurs, startups, and freelancers to share design knowledge, develop business skills, and spread innovation, with fully equipped digital library, rapid prototyping services like 3D printing, mock-up labs, meeting rooms, space for events, co-working space, and cafeteria.

Creative Hub Ethiopia will be the first of its kind to offer a wide range of services to the creative industry through focused and thematic technical support, innovation seminars, lectures, and workshops, training, prototyping techniques, cultural events, and networking sessions.

The Creative Hub Ethiopia is looking to support Ethiopian artists that are eager to level up their craft with the help of renowned professionals and experts from the creative industry and a fully equipped venue.

The space is also managed by two trailblazers of the innovative industry; iceaddis, the first startup incubator and African Mosaique, also the first fashion incubator in Ethiopia.

The hub will open to the public with three levels of subscriptions, where members will enjoy the facilities with affordable package deals. Upon the launch of the hub, the first fifty applicants selected from five categories (Leather and footwear, textile, ICT, fashion, and industrial and product design) will be given the opportunity to access membership free of charge. Applications are currently open for interested applicants until March 1, 2021.

Creative Hub Ethiopia will be synonyms among other hubs in the world including Iran, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Lebanon, supporting the ecosystems of the orange economy, fostering interconnectedness, and promoting cultural heritage.
