AfriLabs, a network organization of African technology and innovation hubs, is hosting an ecosystem engagement event in Addis Ababa.

The three-day gathering, which started on February 1, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, aims to bring together stakeholders and key players in the East African Technology and Innovation ecosystem to network, collaborate and address current challenges faced by the community.

For the past two days, the event has been providing hub managers and staff with the practical knowledge required to build the ecosystem.

Tomorrow, the workshop will feature the AfriLabs Ecosystem Engagement and a platform for startups in Ethiopia to showcase their products to stakeholders.

The attendees are expected to include representatives from relevant government agencies, investors, private funding organizations, and development agencies.

In addition to the ecosystem engagement, Afrilabs is also conducting a capacity-building physical workshop tomorrow.

The workshop, which is supported by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) through the Digital Africa seed fund, will equip hub managers and staff with practical knowledge on building successful startups. The workshop will feature interactive sessions from experts in the African ecosystem.

With a membership of 400 technology and innovation hubs across 52 African countries and the diaspora, AfriLabs has become a major player in the African innovation ecosystem.

AfriLabs is inviting startups in Ethiopia to freely attend tomorrow’s full-day event to showcase their products and network with stakeholders.
