The Africa Fintech Summit is pleased to announce that tickets to the fifth AFTS2020, that will be hosted virtually this year through the Accelvents platform on November 9th, 10th, and 12th, 2020, is made available through AMOLE in Ethiopia.
We are also pleased to announce that Flawless Events, an Ethiopia-based internationally acclaimed event management company, is once again selected to be an event manager for our virtual summit. This follows the most successful 4th AFTS Addis that took place in Ethiopia last November 2019 with more than 400 delegates attending from 30+ countries, a summit that was event managed by Flawless flawlessly, and tickets were digitally made available via AMOLE.
The opening day of the summit invites thought leaders to discuss, contrast, and compare the fintech-related trends and challenges facing all regions across the continent. This year we are giving a new spotlight to the central African fintech ecosystem and the emerging regulatory shifts revolutionizing the region.
Day two focuses in on fintech-enabled business models analyzing how fintech supports the growth of three non-fintech sectors – eCommerce, healthcare, and agriculture – and the developments influencing each, such as COVID-19 and AfCFTA. We also dedicate a session to pay-as-you go(PayGO) business models that have seen a significant increase in popularity due to their ability to facilitate access to otherwise inaccessible, yet crucial, services.
“The Business of Fintech” is the title of our third and final day; we invite Fintech Investors, Decentralized Finance experts & thought leaders from the most successful companies to discuss best practices for common innovator challenges including market expansion and growth, raising capital, the applicability of blockchain, targeting the last mile, and vetting prospective fintech partners.
The summit concludes with the regional semi-final and pitch competition for the Startup World Cup, the winner of which will go on to compete on a Silicon Valley stage for US $1M.
