The Visa Accelerator Program is a three-month initiative designed for early-stage fintech startups across Africa, especially those at Seed to Series A stages with a working Minimum Viable Product (MVP) or market-ready solution is now open for Cohort 5 of Africa Fintech Accelerator.
The program aims to accelerate startup growth and innovation in key fintech sectors such as new payment methods, financial inclusion, SME empowerment, payment infrastructure, and sustainable finance.
Eligibility
Selected Fintech startups benefit from tailored mentorship and training delivered by industry experts and founders who have faced similar challenges. The program provides access to Visa’s cutting-edge payment technology, developer portal, and specialized fintech training, enabling startups to build smarter and scale efficiently.
Since its inception in 2023, the Visa Africa Fintech Accelerator program has accelerated 64 fintechs across three cohorts, with an estimated cumulative portfolio value of $1.1 billion. In the first three cohorts, participation has spanned 17 countries with operational footprint in 31.
