The UNICEF Venture Fund is inviting startups developing blockchain-based solutions for social good to apply for its new Blockchain Ventures cohort. The call targets emerging-market innovators using decentralized technologies to address transparency, financing, and governance challenges affecting children and communities. UNICEF is seeking deployment-ready solutions that improve service accountability, enable innovative financing models, or strengthen open digital public goods.
Eligibility Criteria
- Early-stage startup with a functional blockchain-based product ready for deployment or pilot testing.
- Registered as a private company in a UNICEF programme country (primarily emerging and developing economies).
- Must be working with open-source technology or commit to open-source licensing.
- The solution should demonstrate real-world use cases and measurable impact, particularly benefiting children or communities.
- Startups led by women or young founders are strongly encouraged to apply
