African manufacturing startups can now apply for the Timbuktoo ManuTech Hub's second cohort to access up to $20,000 in equity-free funding.

Are you an early-stage African startup innovating in the manufacturing sector and ready to scale? Applications are now open for the second cohort of the Timbuktoo Africa ManuTech Hub, the continent’s first dedicated platform supporting manufacturing technology startups.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Founders' Age: Between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Citizenship: Founders must be citizens of an African country.
  • Startup Ownership: Startups should be locally owned and based in any African country.
  • Stage of Development: Possession of a minimum viable product (MVP) is preferred.
  • Sector Focus: Technology-driven solutions in manufacturing, including hardware, software, or hybrid innovations that enhance production, logistics, or industrial sustainability.
  • Innovation and Scalability: Demonstrated potential for innovation and scalability across African markets.
  • Engagement: Willingness to participate in mentorship programs and utilize equity-free funding opportunities.

 

Based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the Timbuktoo ManuTech Hub is a pan-African initiative led by UNDP Ethiopia and the Timbuktoo Africa Innovation Foundation. It offers a hybrid program combining world-class resources, expert mentorship, advanced laboratories, and equity-free funding of up to $20,000 USD. This initiative supports founders in developing scalable, technology-driven solutions aimed at enhancing Africa's manufacturing sector.
