The MIT Climate & Energy Prize is one of the world’s longest‑running and largest student‑led climatetech & energy startup competitions. It brings together university teams from around the world to compete with innovative solutions that advance climate tech, sustainability, energy transition, and climate impact technologies.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Teams must include at least two people.
- At least 50 % of formal team members must be current students or postdoctoral fellows (enrolled in a degree program with graduation December 2025 or later).
- Eligible for teams anywhere in the world (not limited to MIT students).
- Teams may be based in different countries and will compete in regional rounds (Europe, Boston).
- Startups must be new ventures and must be incorporated or organized legally to receive prize money.
