Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship 2026 Opens Applications in Ethiopia

The Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship is calling for Ethiopian Edtech startups ready to scale impact. Selected ventures receive up to $60,000 in equity-free funding, expert coaching, peer support.

The MasterCard Foundation EdTech Fellowship is now accepting applications for its third cohort in Ethiopia. The Fellowship supports high-potential EdTech ventures working to close learning gaps for underserved youth through technology.

12 selected organizations will receive equity-free funding of up to USD 60,000, tailored coaching, investor and advisory support, peer learning opportunities, and access to learning science courses delivered in partnership with leading institutions, including Carnegie Mellon University.

 

Eligibility Criteria 

  • Ethiopian-incorporated, entrepreneur-owned EdTech startups with at least two years operational experience.
  • Proven impact and ability to scale to reach at least 8,000 learners annually.
  • Sustainable business model with revenue generation capability.
  • Diverse local teams with project owners dedicated to scaling and program participation.
