Madica VC offers up to $200,000 in equity funding, mentorship, and investor access to African startups led by local or underrepresented founders. Applications open all year.

Madica VC offers a 12-18 month investment program for African startups, especially those led by local founders, women, or those outside major tech hubs. Selected startups receive up to USD 200,000 equity investment plus hands-on support including mentorship, training, coaching, and investor access. 

 

Eligibility 

  • Based in Africa
  • Led by local founders (women or underrepresented teams are encouraged) 
  • Have a minimum viable product (MVP) or early paying customers 
  • Little or no prior institutional funding 
  • Founders engaged full-time or intending to commit full-time 

 

Benefits 

  • Up to USD 200,000 in equity investment at the start to hire key team members and scale the business 
  • Programmatic support: mentorship by experienced founders & operators, tailored coaching, training on company building 
  • Access to grants, credits, and tools (AWS, Salesforce etc.) to ease startup costs 
  • Immersion trips to meet peers, mentors, and ecosystem stakeholders 
  • Connection to follow-on investors and later-stage capital options
