
Code for Africa (CfA), in partnership with the A+ Alliance, has opened applications for the Gender & AI Innovation Collective 2025, an 18-month program supporting women’s rights organizations in Africa to design and deploy AI-powered solutions to community-level challenges such as gender-based violence, economic inequality, and digital exclusion.
Running from February 2026 to June 2027, the program will select 15 organizations across three cohorts, guiding them through a phased process that moves from learning to real-world implementation.
Who can Apply
Eligible thematic areas include, but are not limited to:
Climate justice, labor rights, health equity, gender equality, digital justice, technology-facilitated gender-based violence, social justice, children’s rights, disability rights, LGBTQIA+ inclusion, data privacy, civic engagement, peacebuilding, and media literacy.
Benefits and Funding
Beyond funding, participants gain long-term technical capacity, mentorship, and access to a continental network of feminist technologists and advocates.
