WIDU and Sustainable Industrial Clusters II (S.I.C. II) have launched the FashionCall, a tailored grant opportunity for micro and small Ethiopian fashion businesses.
What’s On Offer
- Matching Grant: Invest between 160,000 – 320,000 ETB and receive a grant 2.5× your investment, totaling 400,000 – 800,000 ETB.
- Disbursement: 90% upon approval; 10% upon project completion.
- Coaching: Three tailored business coaching sessions to enhance strategy, marketing, and operations.
- No Diaspora Co-funding Required: This opportunity is 100% locally driven and accessible to all eligible Ethiopian fashion entrepreneurs.
Who Can Apply
- Age: 20 years or older.
- Citizenship: Ethiopian.
- Business Ownership: Must own a registered fashion business with a valid license for at least 2 years.
- Business Size: Employing up to 20 people.
- Investment: Willing and able to invest between 160,000 – 320,000 ETB during September and October.
- Sector: Engaged in fashion design, including:
- Ready-to-wear & contemporary clothing.
- Cultural & traditional wear.
- Accessories design.
- Bridal & occasion wear.
- Ineligibility: Applicants who have participated in WIDU's previous local calls are not eligible.
