RE!Granting is now accepting applications for its second cycle, providing grants ranging from $5,000 to $15,000 to support community-driven projects aimed at addressing climate challenges. This initiative focuses on empowering individuals and organizations to restore ecosystems, preserve natural resources, and promote social equity.

 

Grant Categories

  • Empower: Grants of $5,000 for projects that drive environmental, social, or economic initiatives.
  • Preserve: Grants of $10,000 for efforts to protect and conserve existing natural spaces.
  • Restore: Grants of $15,000 for revitalizing ecosystems damaged by human activity or natural disasters.

 

Eligibility and Application Process

Eligible applicants include individuals, nonprofit organizations, community-based organizations, and grassroots initiatives focused on climate action, environmental conservation, or social equity. Priority will be given to first-time applicants and projects benefiting marginalized communities. Applications are open until February 7th, 2025, at 23:59 GMT. Interested parties should submit a project proposal detailing objectives, timeline, and budget through the Submittable platform.

 

Key Requirements

  • A project proposal with clear objectives and budget.
  • Organizational background or CV (if applicable).
  • Previous impact reports (if applicable).
  • Letters of support (optional but encouraged).

 

Selection Criteria

Applications will be evaluated based on:

  • Relevance to program priorities.
  • Innovation and potential for long-term impact.
  • Feasibility of the project plan and budget transparency.

 

Support for Grantees

Grantees will receive ongoing communication with project officers, capacity-building opportunities, and networking with other grantees. They will also be required to submit quarterly progress reports and a final impact report.
