Global fintech giant Block, co-founded by Jack Dorsey is inviting inventive designers and builders passionate about AI and design to apply for the Builder Fellowship starting in January 2026.
The Builder Fellowship places rising AI talent inside Block’s design and engineering teams to tackle real challenges in the financial system. Fellows will build products, prototypes, and AI tools across Square, Cash App, Afterpay, Tidal, Proto, and Bitkey, as well as new initiatives and internal projects and the program is looking for emerging builders and self-taught experimenters who are exploring, making, and pushing boundaries with AI.
What You Will Do

- Experiment with AI-assisted workflows, visual systems, and product experiences reaching millions worldwide.
- Collaborate closely with experienced designers and engineers shaping how AI is embedded in financial technology.

- The fellowship is fully paid, with pay based on location and role. In the U.S., fellows earn approximately between $47.60 to $56.25 per hour depending on geographic zones.
