The Climate Justice Impact Fund 2025 is now accepting applications from grassroots organisations across 25 African countries. Grants between $5,000–$8,000 are available for youth, women, and community-led climate action projects. Apply by August 29.

The Climate Justice Impact Fund for Africa (CJIFA) is calling on grassroots organizations and community-led initiatives across the continent to apply for the 2025 Community Empowerment Grant.

The fund is designed to support inclusive, youth- and women-led solutions tackling the climate crisis at the local level. If you're driving impactful climate justice work from the ground up, this is your chance to secure flexible funding to grow your reach and resilience.

 

Who Should Apply

  • Grassroots, community-led organisations operating for 1–3 years
  • Youth-led, women-led, or marginalized group organisations
  • Non-religious, non-political, and not-for-profit entities
  • Based in one of 25 eligible African countries

 

What You’ll Get

  • Grant size: $ 5,000 – 8,000
  • Project duration: 6 to 12 months
  • Renewable: Yes, multi-year renewal possible

Projects will be assessed for innovation, catalytic potential, community mobilisation, sustainability, and inclusivity.
