The Ministry of Innovation and Technology (MInT) of Ethiopia has announced a call for applications for its latest incubation program at the Innobiz-K Ethiopia Incubation Center. This initiative aims to support startups in transforming their prototypes into market-ready solutions.

The Innobiz-K Ethiopia Incubation Program is seeking startups in the prototyping or early traction phases, particularly those operating in sectors such as Agri-Tech (including smart agriculture and irrigation innovations), Digitalization in ICT (such as transforming analog payment systems and data storage solutions), Tourism (including e-Tourism and virtual reality tourism), Manufacturing, and innovative solutions that support the mining sector.
Benefit
The Innobiz-K Ethiopia Incubation Program offers selected startups a comprehensive package to transform their visions into market-ready solutions. This includes seed funding of up to USD 5,000 for ten selected startups, support in prototype development, MVP validation, business model refinement, mentorship and coaching, networking opportunities, investment readiness training, and access to co-working space within the dynamic environment of the Innobiz-K Ethiopia Incubation Center.
Launched last year, the Innobiz-K Ethiopia Center is the country’s first government-run innovation hub. Established in collaboration with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the center is located within the ICT Park and serves as a key hub for ICT-oriented entrepreneurship and job creation. The center, which also runs various support programs, primarily targets post-early-stage startups. It is set to initiate a call for applications, evaluating candidates based on the problems they aim to solve, their proposed solutions, business models, and team dynamics.
