Apply for Ethiopia’s 2025 Green Business Incubator, Secure Up to $10,000 in Grants

The 2025 Green Business Incubator is open! Get support to launch your waste management or circular economy business in Ethiopia.

The 2025 Green Business Incubator applications by Reach for Change & the IKEA Foundation are now open! The program supports early-stage waste management and circular economy enterprises with tailored tools, capacity development, and sustainable business model guidance. Participants receive training, coaching, mentorship, expert advice, and up to $10,000 in grant funding, focusing on enhancing both environmental and social impact. 

 

What are they looking for?  

  • Innovative: Waste management and circular economy solutions impacting youth and women, creating sustainable jobs in Addis Ababa and beyond.
  • Proven Social Impact: Piloted solutions addressing youth unemployment, sustainable livelihoods, resilient communities, and environmental challenges.
  • Scalable: Solutions with potential for broad impact on youth and women, nationally and beyond.
  • Financially Sustainable: Solutions with viable long-term business models.
  • System-Changing: Solutions addressing societal and environmental issues at the grassroots and policy levels. 

 

'Building Waste and Circular Enterprises in Ethiopia' is a 3-year catalytic innovation and green business incubation program, in partnership with Reach for Change and the IKEA Foundation. Over its three-year duration, the program will support 75 entrepreneurs through five cohorts in the Green Innovation Lab to develop and validate innovative waste management and circular economy MVPs. Additionally, 30 established enterprises will receive support in three cohorts through the Green Business Incubator to develop sustainable business models and optimize revenue generation and growth.

 

The program will run from April 2025 to March 2026.
