Ethiopia's Artificial Intelligence Institute has opened applications for a new AI acceleration program designed to guide Ethiopia’s emerging innovators from idea to scalable impact. If you’re building or dreaming of building an AI-powered startup, this program offers the support to help you build AI-enabled solutions.

This initiative provides early-stage AI entrepreneurs with support from AI tools and high-performance computing access to hands-on business coaching and investor connections. The program also connects participants to Ethiopia’s growing AI ecosystem and equips them with the resources to compete at a continental level.

While this is a newly launched acceleration program, the FDRE Artificial Intelligence Institute has previously supported national efforts in AI capacity building and policy development. This initiative builds on that foundation by focusing more directly on supporting early-stage founders through access to infrastructure, mentorship, and industry connections. Participants will become part of a growing community working to shape Ethiopia’s AI future.
