While the delivery market in Addis Ababa is a relatively young scene, its growth is fueled by the surging popularity of takeout and deliveries. These offer a comprehensive range of delivery services, encompassing everything from food to various products, with both speedy same-day and next-day options available.

The Addis Abeba Ecosystem Report 2023 found that 47% of delivery startups have progressed beyond their early stages.

This suggests a maturing delivery sector in Addis Ababa, with startups successfully establishing themselves. It’s also a positive indicator for the overall startup ecosystem, demonstrating the ability of startups to achieve sustainability and growth. This could attract more investors, fueling further development in the future, according to the report.

Through optimized processes and innovative technology, Eshi Express tackles the last-mile delivery challenge, aiming to provide convenience, lower costs of goods, and help companies grow without incurring additional expenses.

BeU Delivery

Founded in 2021 BeU is a food delivery platform that aims to deliver food products for its clients. As of January 2022, beU delivery had 150,000 monthly orders and had around 750 companies with them.
