Organized by MinT ( Ministry of Innovation and Technology) and facilitated by ICTET ( Information Communication Technology Association Ethiopia), this year expo is expected to attract multiple stakeholders across the country and the globe. The other key part of Technology Week is Startup Ethiopia organized through a public-private partnership between the Government of Ethiopia, represented by the Ministry of Innovation and Technology, and Incubators and hubs.
Aimed at identifying and showcase dynamic startups from all over Ethiopia, position Ethiopia as an emerging startup ecosystem, creating a platform for startups to connect to investors and raise venture capital and impact investor interest in Ethiopian startups, Startup Ethiopia will be held in Millennium Hall, on June 8-9.
The first to be held, Startup Ethiopia 2019 is expected to have 100 semi-finalist startups, 10 finalists, and 25 investors, and 1000 attendance.
Innovation Africa Digital Summit, the other anticipated event is happening from 10th to 11th of June 2019 at Sheraton Addis. It is expected to bring together Policy Makers, Regulators, Service Providers, and Major End Users from across Africa along with carefully selected solution providers, investors, and consultants who can address the challenges and support the development of National Agendas with Infrastructure, Value Added Services, Strategy Guidance, Investment, and Business partnership.
Paperless Day and Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) AWARDS are other parts of the technology week.
