The Bank of Abyssinia (BOA) has renovated its internet banking to offer seamless, personalized, and reliable digital banking to its business customers.
The new features will support end-to-end digital business banking journeys from new customer onboarding, comprehensive account and payment services, payroll and bulk payments and a rich multi-tier/user approval system for corporate customers.
The new system will also set the digital foundation for BOA and its customers to experience more innovative business banking features in the future and facilitate more innovative digital products in collaboration with the bigger fin-tech ecosystem.
The upgrade was made possible after the bank partnered with Xpert Digital (XD) to implement Temenos Infinity, a digital banking platform by Temenos, a company specializing in enterprise software for banks and financial services, with its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Xpert Digital, a certified Temenos partner, will deploy the system.
The new XD designed and implemented system will help BOA grow their SME customers and reduce the servicing cost for these customers.
“We pride ourselves [on going] above and beyond to address our corporate customers’ requirements and offer them solutions that best fit their needs. We value our corporate customers for the significance they bring to our economy. We are happy to introduce our fresh new business-banking application, which we believe will revolutionize the banking experience for business owners,” says Daniel Hailu Teshome, Chief Information Officer, Bank of Abyssinia.
“We are proud to provide the digital banking platform for Bank of Abyssinia. Temenos is the platform for many of the leading banks in Africa, and we have a strong and growing presence across the region. With our technology and expertise, BOA can re-imagine the digital banking experience for business customers to differentiate in the market and create new growth opportunities,” says William Moroney, Managing Director – MEA, Temenos.
